I removed the last paragraph because it was unsubstantiated and seemed what I've heard/read about Back From the Grave (and which I've documented in the footnotes). If anyone can verify that there are doubts (from actual experts) about the authenticity of the information in these liner notes, I'd welcome the addition. The rest of the paragraph I removed seemed to be somewhat unfair and insulting, plus it wasn't written in a style appropriate for an encyclopedia.

I've included references to support the existing information about the nature of Back From the Grave, and I've also added a section on the influence of the series. Back From the Grave is probably the third most important garage series behind Nuggets and Pebbles, and I thought it important to note its influence on subsequent compilations.

Added mention of Tim Warren

[edit]

I added mention of Tim Warren in the heading, because, as the founder of Crypt records and creator of the Back from the Grave series, no explanation of the Back from the Grave series would be sufficient without his name. Garagepunk66 (talk) 03:56, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vol. 9 and 10 CD now released

[edit]

Update: The single CD edition of Vol. 9 and 10 has now been released. It was released on Jan. 20, 2015 and is now available on the Crypt records website, Amazon.com., Discogs, etc. Consult these sites for confirmation of release date. I have just received a copy from Amazon. The two LP editions for both Vol. 9 and 10 will be released on Feb. 3, 2015, according to Amazon.com. Garagepunk66 (talk) 21:35, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
