The result of the move request was: page moved to Back It Up!! (Nils Lofgren album) and disambig created as suggested below. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 08:47, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Requested move 1
[edit]Back It Up!! (Live) (album) → Back It Up!!
- By browsing various retail sites, one can see that "Back It Up!!" is always in the title but after that there are many inconsistent variations. I recommend (and tried) moving to "Back It Up!!" but that title is on a blacklist. DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 14:18, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Support some kind of move. No opinion on whether or not the title should include "(Live)", but the disambiguator is clearly unnecessary. I'm not sure what you mean about Back It Up!! being blacklisted, I'm not seeing anything in the logs for that page. PC78 (talk) 17:38, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- See MediaWiki:Titleblacklist; most likely, there is a protection against titles with >1 exclamation mark. Otherwise fully agree with you. Ucucha 19:15, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
Requested move 2
[edit]Back It Up!! (Live) (album) → Back It Up!! (Live) —
- unnecessary dab —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 17:38, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- What does "(Live)" refer to? The record is not live, it is a recording. It is not played by a group called "Live". And, should "(Live)" be "(live)"? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:02, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- "(Live)" is apparently part of the title (and it is a "live recording"), so the capitalisation would seem correct. PC78 (talk) 17:04, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- Comment. The cover of the cd version (as shown in the article) uses the form Back It Up!! Live..., or if you include the subtitle, Back It Up!!! Live... An Authorized Bootleg. The cover of the original vinyl (I think this is it) would seem to support the original move request above. And why are we having two simultaneous move discussions anyway? PC78 (talk) 17:04, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- Leaning towards an oppose here. Of the various proposals on this page, this title seems like the least suitable. PC78 (talk) 17:46, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- Seems like the article definitely needs to be renamed to drop the "(album)", and there's slightly more enthusiasm for the title without "(Live)", so I'd be for a move to Back It Up!!. (An admin is required, as noted above, because the title fits one of the general blacklisted forms, probably because of the exclamation marks.)--Kotniski (talk) 10:14, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- Idea: Back It Up!! (Live) (album) to Back It Up!! (Nils Lofgren album); Back It Up to Back It Up (Robin Trower album), then Back It Up to be a disambig between Back It Up (Robin Trower album) and Back It Up (song) and Back It Up!! (Nils Lofgren album). To me the presence or absence of punctuation marks is not significant enough to distinguish two page names. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 12:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'd go along with that (though there are other Back It Ups also requiring disambiguating - don't know if the one presently deemed the primary topic is really the primary topic).--Kotniski (talk) 17:02, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved to Back It Up!! Peter Karlsen (talk) 02:47, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Back It Up!! (Nils Lofgren album) → ?
- Leave these pages as they are, or move them to where? (Discussion reopened in response to a user query to me) Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:03, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- Move to Back It Up!! as originally proposed. Per WP:PRECISION the difference in punctuation should be sufficient to disambiguate this from the Robin Trower album and the song; anyone who types out the !! in a search will clearly be looking for this album. Failing that, move to Back It Up!! Live... which is the title as it appears on the CD cover. There is no need to append a disambiguator when better options are available.
