Gateway & Accelerated courses

[edit]

Should these be mentioned here? Widening participation initiatives from the government are behind the introduction of a gateway to BVetMed course (which allows students to enter onto the BVetMed at RVC, Liverpool, Bristol or Glasgow).

The accelerated BVetmed is a 4 year version of the BVetMed degree which is only available for graduates from suitable BSc degrees. (Chitori5 (talk) 11:36, 26 March 2011 (UTC))[reply]

"Doctor"

[edit]

"On 5 March 2015, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Council made the decision to allow UK veterinarians to use the courtesy title "doctor", to align with international practices."

What "international practices" will that be? In Germany and Austria, for example, a vet is only called "doctor" if he holds a DOCTORATE in veterinary medicine.
