Other Notes
[edit]Here are some things I have learned about this site having done several investigations there. I know that Wikipedia does not allow original research, so somebody more devoted to this article may wish to confirm the following with proper citations.
The cemetery is still technically open to the public, but only during the day. Night visits, no matter how well credentialed or professional looking your group may be, will still provoke a police response. Even press credentials fail to cut the mustard.
The cemetery itself is in several separate legal jurisdictions. Officers from each of the separate departments patrol the area and can arrest you there. None of the various jurisdictions however claim to have the jurisdictional authority to grant access at night. If you ask one, they will refer you to another in a never ending loop.
The fenced-in area of the site does not contain all of the original grave yard. Some graves lay outside of the current fence. Many of the grave markers you may find outside of the fence however are just as likely to have been moved (vandalized) outside from within the fenced area. Some claim that Al Capone buried his victims at Bachelor's Grove ohohoh! In a serious note, there also are mysteries of the deaths in the well.
Ghostly photo
[edit]http://graveyards.com/IL/Cook/bachelors/ghost.html Would it be possible to use the ghostly photo in the article? --RyanTee82 (talk) 07:23, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Poorly sourced
[edit]It seems most of the information in this article links back to the same two web pages which make several claims with no citations or corroborating data. The sites clearly repeat any outlandish claim ever made about the cemetery, which is fine for those web pages, but should probably exclude them from being used as a reliable source of information. I suggest that all citations to those sites be eliminated from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.98.77.11 (talk) 04:06, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
