Date format reversion
[edit]I see that there has been violations on this article with respect to WP:ERA in that no substantial reason was given for the date format being changed nor was discussion or consensus posted on the talk page. Therefore, I propose that the date format be reverted as per the above WP:ERA unless there are strong objections. Dalek (talk) 12:35, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
- I object. According to the article's history, the only violations of era policy have been those which changed BCE to BC, and these have been rightly reverted. This article was created in 2006 by Wetman, who used BCE throughout. Dalek, I see several similar requests in your contributions record; all appear to seek preferential use of BC/AD, rather than BCE/CE, and could therefore be interpreted as tendentious. Please read WP:ERA in full. Thank you. Haploidavey (talk) 18:10, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
point of clarification
[edit]The article seems to say that {'royal' Bacchiadae claiming descent from Bacchis} took power from 'Bacchiad' king Terestes - without any other point of reference to a "Bacchiad" group or how such might/could/should be distinguished from Bacchis or Bacchiadae. 112.141.65.4 (talk) 00:18, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
Agreed, this is incoherent. Does it mean that some Bacchiad nobles took power from a Bacchiad king, perhaps the last of his particular Bacchiad dynasty? Or that they deposed a non-Bacchiad? Or what? Lavintzin (talk) 12:03, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
