Your page says that BHK-21 cells do not have reverse transcriptase activity, but this is incorrect according to Lovatt et al. (J. Virol. Methods 1999 82(2):185-200). Also, like CHO cells, BHK-21 cells express intra-cisternal type A particles, and possibly other retroviral particles as seen on TEM(Bernhard and Tournier, Ann Inst Pasteur 1964 107:447-52, Compans et al.,Virology, 1966, 30:411-26, Lasneret et al., J Exp. Pathol. 1989 4:47-56, McGee-Russell et al. 1965, Proc. of 3rd European Regional Conf. on Electron Microscopy, pp. 367-68, Wang and Mulligan, J. Virol. 1999 73:8917.). Please correct or cite the evidence for lack of RT activity, in contradiction to the expression of retroviral particles and positive PERT signals from retroviral RT by Lovatt et al.PCCLisa (talk) 21:21, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
