- ... that the instrumental track "BBL Drizzy" is about rumors accusing Canadian rapper Drake of receiving buttock augmentation surgery?
- ALT1: ... that American producer Metro Boomin unknowingly sampled a song created with generative artificial intelligence in the instrumental diss track "BBL Drizzy"? Source: https://www.billboard.com/business/tech/metro-boomin-bbl-drizzy-future-ai-sampling-1235682587/

Overall: Earwig's clear, long enough, new enough, sourced well, and gtg. The Graun really needs to get its reporting up though, "Metro did something that had yet to be done in this rap battle: he apologized" might be the most damning indictment of J Cole's role in the beef I've seen. - Liance, would you do an ALT hook that doesn't mention "rumors accusing" a living person of cosmetic surgery? Rjjiii (talk) 18:52, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

New reviewer needed for ALT1; as ALT0 is problematic, I don't intend to promote it. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 20:08, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Liance: Where is the "unknowingly" bit in the article and source?--Launchballer 00:34, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- I think it's "
Though Metro was not aware of the source of the track when he used it, his tongue-in-cheek diss became the first notable use case of AI-generated sampling [...]

- Unless I'm missing something Rjjiii, the "unknowingly" part doesn't appear in the article. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 15:04, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

Instrumental???
[edit]Why does this article repeatedly refer to this as an instrumental when it clearly contains vocals?Ordinary Person (talk) 23:45, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- ye i noticed that too. i made it "instrumental diss track" a while ago but maybe it should just be "diss track beat", perchance. but at the same time this source says instrumental so idk: [2] Freedun (yippity yap) 06:57, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Copyedit, to be Copyedited
[edit]Hey! I decided to copyedit some of this article. I primarily shifted a lot of the information that was originally in the "Track" subsection under "Release" since I felt that a lot of information was being repeated there and could be delegated to other parts of the article, editing as needed while hopefully having the article flow well. Feel free to make any edits or adjustments to what I did and/or make any comments. There are some parts that I'd like to point out that I had trouble on:
- "Drake mentioned Ross in the song "Push-Ups".
- More context can definitely be added to this, especially as to what Drake said to Rick Ross. Given what the source (#9) cited to this passage mentions, however, I didn't know how to implement it.
- "Ross responded with his diss "Champagne Moments", coining the phrase in the song and on his Instagram story. In response to "Champagne Moments..."
- The double "in response" and "Champagne Moments" feels a bit awkward? No idea how to restructure it to make it less awkward.
- I did my best with the in-article citations when moving things around, keeping them attached with the right passages. I did notice that one citation didn't fit with passage and replaced it with a better citation. If someone can double check me and see if everything is cited in the right place, I would appreciate that.
Let me know how I did! Wobox25 (talk) 20:53, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Decided to take up the mantle myself and fix what I mentioned in the bullet points. I think the citations/sources are also good as well, possibly. Still feel free to make many edits, adjustments, or comments. Wobox25 (talk) 05:32, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Copyright status of the song
[edit]Is the song entirely created by AI, so as to be free of copyright? Wondering if it can be uploaded here. Oaktree b (talk) 16:07, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
No mention of the freestyle
[edit]The Yuno Miles freestyle is not mentioned anywhere within the article. ThyOfThee (talk) 13:59, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
