Mylo and Franz Ferdinand

[edit]

I have moved this here for discussion. It is heavily POV, breaks the article flow and is not backed by references. If someone would like to add references and tidy it up then please do so.--Citizensmith 10:49, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On the Main Stage each night, there was a surprise guest. On Saturday night, after much hype, many punters were dissappointed as Mylo was announced as the special guest after DJ's saying on stage earlier that it was the biggest act you could think of. On Sunday however, after the dissappointment of Mylo, many fans didn't turn up fot the surprise guest, deciding to stay with Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the In New Music We Trust Stage. What many fans didn't know though is that is Scottish heroes, Franz Ferdinand were in fact the surprise guests and started off their 4 song set to a half empty tent. By the last song, police were refusing to let people into the tent, due to the mass amount of people who heard about this.

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 04:55, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

Add  # '''Support'''  or  # '''Oppose'''  on a new line in the appropriate section followed by a brief explanation, then sign your opinion using ~~~~. Please remember that this is not a vote; comments must include reasons to carry weight.
  • Support Was going to propose this move tonight anyway. While 'Big Weekend' may have been more apprioate before. It is now just named 'Radio 1's Big Weekend'. Move it.
  • Support. There's a couple of other Big Weekends showing up in a Googlesearch of WP, so this serves as a nice disambiguation if it's ever required. --DeLarge 16:17, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The previous format

[edit]

Surely the previous format of "one big weekend" with themed days should get more of a mention here? It is a page for the whole history of the event, and these are a vital part. Zacitty (talk) 19:23, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
