I can't find how to reference using {{sfn}} to publications with editors (instead of authors), and to urls with no authors or publication date indicated (under "External links", using {{Cite web}}). Would be much appreciated if another editor could amend this page – footnotes and references/external links are now two times the same information. — CvZ (talk) 16:50, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hey CvZ! Wikipedia citation formatting can get confusing. I've removed the redundant external links & further reading that were identical to the references (keeping the ones that where different), and merged two references #1 & #4, that where the exact same thing.
- For the book with no authors, but only editors, you've done it correctly by leaving the "First name" and "Last name" fields blank, and including info in the editor sections of the template, so I've left that as is.
- You've also done the right thing by leaving the author & publication date field blank for sources where this doesn't make sense or wasn't available and including only the Publisher - which was available.
- Everything seems good now! Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! :) MolecularPilot 06:15, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
