Rape?

[edit]

I don't agree with the references to Weyland's rape of Bodvild. The texts seem to suggest that she was seduced, not raped. There are references to them as "lovers" and their "lust" which do not imply rape to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.10.91.104 (talk) 17:46, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Based on nothing but reading the article, I think the rape interpretation must be based on the lines " Nought was my might/with such a man/Nor from his strength/could I save myself. Not saying its the correct interpretation, but I see where it comes from.TCSaint (talk) 00:09, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Could easily be a romantic verse in a modern love song... 2601:806:4301:C100:82D:4490:4B01:86BC (talk) 18:34, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"the ending is more that of a happy one"

[edit]

A woman marrying her rapist is not a "happy ending."2601:191:8400:28F0:E537:D043:9D23:118 (talk) 15:16, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
