Bé → Bé (Togo) – no clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC Joeykai (talk) 17:31, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and would also support creation of a Bé disambiguation page that would list Bé (Togo) [or Bé, Togo] as well as Bé (footballer), with Bé (disambiguation) listed under "See also" at the BE dab page. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 21:54, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment As Bé is a neighbourhood rather than a city or town, I believe Bé, Lomé would be the proper format. I also believe that this article, along with everything at Category:Neighborhoods of Lomé could realistically be turned into redirects and merged to Lomé. 162 etc. (talk) 04:24, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- I would likewise support Bé → Bé, Lomé rather than the proposed Bé → Bé (Togo). However, as far as redirecting this stub is concerned, a glance at the more-extensive corresponding entry in French Wikipedia would seem to suggest that expansion might be the more intuitive course. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 15:09, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Interestingly, the fr.wiki article uses a different accent, and refers to the neighbourhood as "Bè". Google Maps also uses "Bè". Do any sources use "Bé"? The article only refers to a print source which I don't have access to. 162 etc. (talk) 20:27, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Apparently the December 2006 creator of the English Wikipedia entry for the Lomé neighborhood used the accent from the main title header of French Wikipedia Bé disambiguation page, rather than the accent used by the header of the French Wikipedia entry (created in April 2006) for the Lomé neighborhood. The accent in the French Wikipedia entry is evidently the correct one, as confirmed by other entries, such as Google Maps, as you mentioned, as well as this one from GOLFENEWS. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:40, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- In that case, the article can be moved to Bè, which is an existing primary redirect. 162 etc. (talk) 17:03, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- I agree. If this move proposal is re-nominated as Bé → Bè, then there is no need for a parenthetical qualifier and, while at it, a nomination can be also submitted for Bé (footballer) → Bé since, as a result, his entry would also have no need of a qualifier. Hatnotes would attend to any confusion and it would be all sorted out at the Be disambiguation page. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:30, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
