Air disasters in See Also section

Why does this article link to a number of air disasters in the See Also section? Is there a direct link between these incidents and the Barany Chair? I understand that these chairs are used to train pilots to deal with spatial disorientation, which was the cause of the crashes, but it seems a bit tenuous to link this article to those articles.
