We also need to disambiguate the brand-name medicine Azo.
A definition I wrote for www.oedilf.com:
Azo (as-ZOH) is a common brand of phenazopyridine (feh-naze-oh-PEER-ih-deen) HCl, an over-the-counter medication intended to temporarily relieve the pain of a urinary tract infection (UTI). It is not a substitute for medical attention and, if appropriate, antibiotics to address the cause of the symptoms.
The drug is one of the azo dyes. The most common side effect is discolored urine that can stain fabrics; sometimes enough of the dye is secreted in tears to stain contact lenses.
(Actually, the product "Azo" was renamed "Azo-Standard", perhaps because the term wasn't trademarkable.)
