Gargamel's cat

[edit]

Is also called Azazel.137.205.183.70 (talk) 08:13, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is the cat a demonic being who taught humanity magic and served as a scapegoat? No? Not the same figure, and including that Azazel here would be like saying that Martin Luther was an African American civil rights leader. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:08, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The cat's name is Azrael not Azazel, and is listed in that popular culture section. 14:28, 1 June 2015 (UTC)— Preceding unsigned comment added by AngusWOOF (talkcontribs)
Not anymore. The cat belongs there about as much as we need to redirect Martin Luther King, Jr. to Martin Luther. Being named after something does not mean that those two persons/characters/things are identical. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:34, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Right. The cat's listed more properly in the Azrael (disambiguation) page, as with Martin Luther (disambiguation). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:38, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why a separate article?

[edit]

Not sure why this is a separate article. Shouldn't it just be a section on the main Azazel page? Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 12:32, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
