[edit]She is AZERI! Even her name, Aylar lie, Is Azeri, and most Azeris are shiites anyways. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.255.46.224 (talk) 01:01, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Wasn't Aylar adopted by Norwegon parents when she was 2? So that makes her a product of Norwegion culture and society not Iran or Iranian, so yes, I agree, you need to stop associating her with Iranians/Persians cause we want nothing to do with her.
—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.255.46.224 (talk) 18:34, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- A son of a bitch keeps changing the page and saying that she is Iranian. She is Norweigan ! Nothing Iranian about her considering she left at age of 2.
- Aylar does not have Iranian citizenship. She is not Iranian so pleaseremove any references to her as an Iranian. She is Norweigan and has lived there since age of 2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.217.50.235 (talk) 14:46, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Please remove protection because there are a lot of inaccuracies on this page including ethnicity and personal info
- No there should not be a list because she was not even raised in Iran
I found an article on the death threats and added the citation. The article also included extra biographical details which have now been added. --172.188.109.30 22:25, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
OK, I just figured out how to add citations. Hopefully it looks fine, and if it's screwed up, some experienced Wikipedian might be able to fix it. We now just need a citation for the Islamist extremist death threats. --172.188.109.30 21:46, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Citations for all new biographical details are from Aylar's updated website; in the 'About' section: http://www.aylar.no/
Team Aylar member names are from: http://pub.tv2.no/nettavisen/side2/kjendis/article462121.ece
Can someone add those citations? I'm not very good at adding citations on Wikipedia.
Also, while we're adding citations, shouldn't we get one for the Islamic extremist death threats?
Aylar's updated website also includes a 'CV' with quite a few details which would be useful for the Wikipedia entry. It's all in Norweigan though, so someone that can understand the language can hopefully do it for us.
You might also want to consider adding a link to a picture of Team Aylar: http://pub.tv2.no/multimedia/na/archive/00218/TeamAylar-WP_1600_218525a.jpg

Item needs sourcing
[edit]This item needs to be sourced:

Edited irrelevant details
[edit]I have edited the irrelevant details out of the article. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and I honestly don't think that details about her pets and cooking and childhood aspirations are particularly relevant to this article. They struck me as being more suitable for a celebrity magazine than an encyclopaedia article. The death threats section sounded POV, but I'm not really feeling up to tackling the rest of the article.

I disagree, since there is no country called Persia but Iran, people in Iran are Iranians, not Persians. Only a minority call themselves Persian anyways. You can be Azeri and Iraian or Persian and Iranian at the same time, but not Persian and Azeri. "Persian" is a race like "Azeri" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.246.57.28 (talk) 13:48, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry you are incorrect. Although Persians and Azeris are both Iranian peoples and similar they different ethnicities —Preceding unsigned comment added by GhettoStomp (talk • contribs) 21:51, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Rather than play with words, maybe you should just state clearly what you mean. I'd say she is Norwegian - by which I'd mean she is a citizen of Norway. AFAIK (which may not be far enough) she has no other citizenship. She was born in Iran to Iranian parents. 82.239.111.31 (talk) 20:40, 15 January 2010 (UTC)TheDag

Please beware that a pro-Iranian Shiite Persian ( determined vandal and banned editor User:Beh-nam), who is using many sockpuppets to try to remove her ethnicity from Persian to other, such as Azeri. So please revert his edits everytime and report him or do a checkuser on him, he is ashamed of this young Iranian-Persian girl satisfying westerners. He wants to mislead readers to think she is from other ethnic background. He tried to label her as Azeri because he hates those people and wants to play with their pride.--119.30.75.83 (talk) 00:43, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Her ethnicity is IRANIAN, not PERSIAN. Jerkface03 (talk) 08:00, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
We should block this Persian Ethno-Nationalist.--95.114.66.205 (talk) 09:52, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
IRANIAN IS NOT THE SAME AS PERSIAN
[edit]No matter what Iranian's living in the west decide to call themselves these days, they're still Iranians. There is no such thing as the "Persian language," and Persia itself doesn't exist anymore (and hasn't existed for a while). It's called IRAN and FARSI, not Persia and Persian. She SPEAKS FARSI, she doesn't speak PERSIAN. PERSIA doesn't exist anymore, IRAN does.
If you're offended because you're an Iranian who calls himself a Persian, too bad. You don't hear Ukrainians and Uzbeks telling people they're from the USSR, do you? No. You don't. Please leave your delusions about being Persian at the door when you edit a Wikipedia article. Jerkface03 (talk) 07:58, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, you are wrong. Being Iranian is not the same as being Persian. Persian is an ethnic group, whereas Iranian is a nationality. The Demographics of Iran shows, that a lot of different ethnic groups live in Iran, not just Persian. There are groups such as Azeri, Mazandarani, Gilaki, Kurds, Lur, etc. These groups are different ethnic groups, but since they live in Iran, they are still considered Iranian, because that is their nationality, nonetheless. Therefore, there is in fact difference between being Persian and being Iranian. By only saying you are Iranian, you could belong to any of these ethnic groups.
- And about the language, you are wrong as well. It IS called the Persian language. The word "Farsi" doesn't even exist in the English language. The word "Farsi" is the name for the Persian language, IN PERSIAN (فارسی).
- If you want to tell someone that you speak German, then you wont say "I speak Deutsch". You will say "I speak German". Because the word "German" is the English name for the language spoken in Germany. And again, you wont say "I speak Farsi" in English, you will say "I speak Persian" because that is the English word for the language. You can only use the word "Farsi", if you actually use it in a Persian sentence: من فارسی حرف میزنم (man farsi harf mizanam = I speak Persian), or in other languages that use the word (such as Arabic). CoverMyIP (talk) 17:07, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I think the "ethnie" is persian and the country of origin is Iran. The term iranian can also be used for iranian kurds, iranian azeri, iranian baluchis, and iranian arabs. So thats the difference. And btw she's damn hot yesyesyes!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.137.201.2 (talk) 02:41, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Debut album
[edit]Anything new about her debut album, which was (according to the article) to be released last year? Now next year is closing to its end and still same statement there. 85.217.41.152 (talk) 23:43, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
Disruptive edits by Urməvi
[edit]Urməvi, PLEASE stop doing disruptive edits, why are you changing her ethnicity and removing sources? please discuss on the talk page what your reasons are, or i will report you to an admin, and do not accuse me of vandalism, because i can also report you for that. You obviously don't know the meaning of the word. --HistoryofIran (talk) 19:23, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Well now that the user that did these edits without discussing about it is blocked, i guess i can peacefully change it back to the old version. --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:00, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
More info on Porn Carrier
[edit]I propose we give some overviews of the plot and action of her many critically acclaimed films such as "Cum Dumpster 3" and "Breakin 'em in 3." It's also interesting to note that the number 3 shows up in so many of her film titles, since she was apparently doing a lot of threesomes.
Added one of her missing films, listed on German Wikipedia, Racks and Blacks Going into Your Flaps (2002). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.169.140.41 (talk) 22:28, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
Religion
[edit]Is Aylar Lie a Muslim, Christian, Zoroastrian or Bahai? Is she maybe an Atheist or an Agnostic? I mean in UK there is an retired pornographic actress of indian descent who is a Muslim.--95.114.66.205 (talk) 09:48, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
Her Nationality
[edit]Personally, I am amazed how some persian nationalist trying here to pretend that this women is not persian. Seems like they didn't watch her movies where she directly saying, what is her nationality. May be because of this fact they choose another way by say actually she is Azerbaijani. It is funny when these persian nationalists tries to show all successful Azerbaijanians as Persian, but when it comes something negative, they can easily call persian as Azerbaijani.
There is no clear evidence about her nationality. The only clear evidence is her videos, where she says " I am Persian". FYI Iranian Azeris never say they are Persian as word of Persian constitutes to "ethnicity", so who claims that she is Azeri is unjustified. I saw some comments referring to her name being "Aylar" as justification that she is Azerbaijani, that is also provocation. "Aylar" means lion (https://www.babynamemeaningz.com/Aylar-meaning-36999) in persian language and it is persian name. In Azerbaijani language "Ay" means moon and "lar" is used for plural. So, claiming that this name is Azerbaijani is unproved as there is no meaning for this name in Azeri language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mirhasanov (talk • contribs) 04:48, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Undoing your changes, your complaint about "Persian nationalists" is just an example of WP:IDONTLIKEIT on your part, there's pretty clear sources online like this Azerbaijani one here [1], where she openly says that she spoke Azerbaijani Turkish during her childhood.
- As for your claimed etymology "Aylar" does not mean lion in Persian in any way, "babynamemeaningz" is a random website not a source. Lion in Persian is "Shir" and her last name "دیانتی لی" writes as "Dianatili"; both her first and last name are turkic/azerbaijani. --Qahramani44 (talk) 01:34, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Qahramani44: Even if she spoke Azerbaijani language during her childhood, it not makes her instanly Azerbaijani. For example, there may be any family in certain country, which use different language and has different nationality. For example, there may be certain family in Romania which speak Hungarian, but they are still declaring themselves Romanian than Hungarian. Maybe it looks unrealistic, but there are Ukrainians in Ukraine which speak Russian and they are not Russians. Right now there is no clear source for confirmation that she is Norwegian, Iranian or Azerbaijani. Any links? Eurohunter (talk) 15:41, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
