Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Aylam Orian is a known actor around the world due to his playing a major role in Stargate Origins (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_Origins), and the upcoming major studio films The Informer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Informer_(2019_film)), and Ford Vs. Ritchie333, I note that you removed the speedy deletion because there are too many (6) citations in the article. I contend that there are not 6 citations, only 2, as the article has multiple redundant citations (WP:OVERCITE) for just two “facts”. Furthermore, 3 of those citations are to support their effort to create secondary articles that were later deleted by the community. Multiple citations for one uncontested statement seems like an anti-deletion defence. Should the redundant edits be removed and then speedy deletion request be resubmitted? Is there a different deletion path to follow?

Kusemek, your comment that this is an actor with a worldwide notability is undercut by 25 years of bit parts, which does not suddenly gain worldwide notability status from the one, small web series that caught your attention. In the year since you created the article, no other worldwide editors from the worldwide following have added a single new fact to this very limited stub. Pointing to two movies where he is 20th and 45th billed (including a credit as “the German race commentator”) is not all that supportive Jmg38 (talk) 20:50, 4 July 2019 (UTC)

Well, as you may know, all actors start with "bit parts" (and I'm sorry, a Top of Show Guest Star role on America's Most Wanted is not a "bit part. A Guest Star role on NCIS: Los Angeles is not a "bit part". A Guest Star role on Code Black is not a "bit part", voicing one of the lead characters in the popular show Fauda is not a "bit part", etc.), until they transition to bigger roles that make them "known". Also, calling a show that is part of a longtime, very well known, franchise such as "Stargate", from a major studio like MGM, a "small web series" is like saying that the popular "Stranger Things" is a web series. Do you have the statistics of how many people around the world have watched Stargate Origins? Are you aware of the fact that it has also been released as a feature film (so not only a "web series")? In the year since the article was created, this actor has appeared in these 2 studio films mentioned (you should know that the billing on IMDB is not indicative of anything - many times it goes by alphabetical order, or by IMDB's own "Star Meter" which is NOT an indication for an actor's renown), plus the upcoming Netflix show AJ and The Queen (I am sure you would call it a "web series"?), plus he is currently appearing in the US premiere of the Dutch play Anne (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_(play) - an article which should get an update on that soon). Finally, Aylam Orian also has a much expanded article on him, on the German Wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aylam_Orian (which should really be translated over to the English language one). Kusemek - if you have such heartfelt ideas about the importance of this actor, then get off your duff, quit this meaningless “Talk” discussion, and fix the damn article. It is in your power to be a real editor and address the real issue, so just do it. It has been over a year, no one else shares your view that this is a world renowned actor, no one else appears ready to salvage this minor stub, so find the data and finish the job.
