[edit]It would be very useful to have an example of how this axis system is used to analyze an actual piece of music. — Gwalla | Talk 05:43, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Irrelevancies
[edit]The statement "It might be noted that many composers, like Bartók, are extremely "mathematical" while many are not" doesn't seem to have much to do with the axis system. Removing. Dr McV (talk) 12:32, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I am currently reading up on the Lendvai, and so will be developing this article presently. It's quite rough at the moment, and short on explanation of context, use, relevance, explanatory power, examples, etc. help appreciated. Dr McV (talk) 15:29, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
the section on harmonic properties doesn't add anything to the explanation of the system: there is no content to it. I'm removing. Dr McV (talk) 15:42, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
This statement seems incorrect
[edit]"It is interesting to note that the pattern Tonic-Super Tonic-Subdominant relationship repeats itself counter clockwise around the circle of fifths."
Counter clockwise around the circle of fifths, the root relationships would either be [super-tonic, dominant, tonic], forming the ii-V-I pattern mentioned in the next sentence, or conversely, interpreting the starting point as tonic, [tonic, sub-dominant, sub-tonic], forming the I-IV-bVII pattern used so frequently by Lennon-McCartney.--Kensterd (talk) 17:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
