[edit]Sundquist's birthplace should be Finland, not Furland. Finland was an archduchy of Russia between 1809 and 1917. Finnish emigrant researcher K-G Olin makes this clear in his book "Ärans medalj" (Medal of Honor) (2010, ISBN 978-952-9600-20-5). "Furland" is prbably a misinterpretation of a handwritten document. Sundquist was born in Jakobstad in Ostrobotnia in Finland and grew up in Helsingfors. He went to sea very young and stayed abroad, because he was conscripted for the Russian army. HE bacame a naturalized American citizen and never returned to Finland. 194.86.89.35 (talk) 10:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
K-G Olin's book also states that he should be the 20th double recipient of Medal of Honor. Although sources mention that he was awarded a first medal for destroying a telegraph cable at Cienfuegos and a second medal for mine sweeping at Guantanamo, he only received one medal. A process is ongoing to straight out the facts and possibly do this PM.193.185.55.253 (talk) 14:45, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
