Axel Springer AG relevant to media concentration or not?
- 19:34, 14 April 2006 Zootalures m (RV links to Media concentration by User:Boud not (currently) relevant to this article, and that article is not (currently) relevant to Europe at all, or clear why it is linked)
"Axel Springer AG is one of the largest newspaper publishing companies in Europe, claiming to have over 150 newspapers and magazines in over 30 countries,"
This is surely enough to make media concentration relevant to this article.
The fact that media concentration only has a stub section on Europe is not a reason to remove the "see only" on this page. The English-speaking world has no monopoly on the encyclopedia topic "media concentration" - even if the situation is probably much worse in US/Canada/Australia than in western/central Europe/India/etc. (exception being Italy where berlusconi had a tv monopoly of 6 stations AFAIK.)
Anyway, i've started a section stub on media concentration for euro stuff. Please contribute there!

I'm not sure that Axel Springer was Jewish, is there any source for this? Robfoster 15:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Who wrote this?
"The Axel Springer AG is criticized by German leftists and Muslims[5] especially because it openly supports Israel. The Axel Springer AG is the only German publishing house which refused to publish the advertising campaign of the Left Party in 2005"
What? This completely falsifies what the controversies were really about. The student protests against springer in the 1960s had nothing to do with Israel.
Just compare the German article witt the English one:

"German: Springer is a speaking tube of zionist" interesting statements. The springer concern might be somewhat biased, I agree. But giving this as a citation? Plus, when watching TV in Germany, if Israelis killed 100 terrorists and 2 innocent, the German TV will show those two innocent over weeks. On the other side, if the Palestine bomb 50 innocent israelis, it appears in the late news for 1 minute. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.45.192.21 (talk) 19:23, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
