Commemorative badges removed
[edit]The following commemorative badges were removed from this article due to the fact they were proven as unofficial/bogus following my finding the entire list of ministerial orders from 1991 to September 2017, they do NOT figure on the list.
- Commemorative Badge "60 Years of the Moscow Operational Housing Management"
- Commemorative Badge "50 Years of Strategic Rocket Forces"
- Commemorative Badge "300 Years of Russian Military Music"
- Commemorative Badge "50 Years of the Special Inspection Service"
- Commemorative Badge "90 Years of Military Intelligence"
NOTE Seeing Russian military personnel wearing some of these in photos is not proof of authenticity, public awards are worn with little restriction by Russian military personnel. Fdutil (talk) 00:32, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Medal "100 Years of the Navigation Service of the Air Force"
[edit]This award was first placed with other MoD medals in the top section then moved down to the Commemorative badges section, turns out this was an error. Although hanging from a ribbon with double black edge stripes normally reserved for commemorative badges, the establishment order and subsequent conformation through Russian sources clearly identify it as a medal. The reason for the double edge stripes remains a mystery. Fdutil (talk) 02:32, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation"
[edit]Medal has double black edge stripes normally reserved for commemorative badges but is a medal and is correctly placed in the medals' section. Fdutil (talk) 02:32, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Public medals removed
[edit]The following medals were removed from this article due to the fact they were proven as unofficial public awards following my finding the entire list of ministerial orders from 1991 to September 2017, they do NOT figure on the list. These were also listed clearly as public awards in other references.
- Medal "Joint Strategic Exercise - West 2013"
- Medal "Joint Strategic Exercise - Union Shield 2015"
- Medal "Strategic Command-Staff Exercise - Centre 2015"
NOTE Seeing Russian military personnel wearing some of these in photos is not proof of authenticity, public awards are worn with little restriction by Russian military personnel. Fdutil (talk) 00:46, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
