Notability

I was surprised to see that one user has put a notability tag on this article, apparently with the idea that it could be merged with the RHS main article. I consider that it is better left as it is, since the general approach to the RHS article is to outline the Society and include references to other main articles such as the gardens and shows which users may look up by name. The main article would be unbalanced if all these items were merged, and the difficulty of searching would be a problem. I guess the user who inserted the tag is in fact aware that the AGM is very sort-after by suppliers - you only have to look at the huge lists of suppliers on the trials field to see that. It is worth a lot of money, no doubt, to those suppliers. I will remove the tag, and trust that others agree with me. Patche99z (talk) 16:48, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Absolutely – I couldn't agree more! There are far too many articles that try to encompass every facet of a subject on one page, which is admirable in its own way, but can be extremely off-putting if you just want to find out about one aspect and have to wade through hundreds and hundreds of lines to find it, or to piece together the relevant facts.SiGarb | Talk 18:50, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
