1945 or 1946?

The article text says: "During early 1945, the British Government immediately set about restoring the country to a peacetime stance". Surely this should be 1946? WW2 did not finish until summer 1945. 62.232.26.62 (talk) 14:38, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
