Comment
[edit]I saw that this article has not citing, but I had previously read the same text from this article: http://www.nhpf.org/pdfs_ib/IB775_AWP_6-7-02.pdf. I am new to Wikipedia and do not know how to correct the article. I figure if I leave the citation address, someone who knows could help out and fix the main article.

- That works well; thanks. I've added it to the article. Part Deux 19:13, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
AWP and Sticker Price
[edit]The obvious problem with the car "sticker price" analogy is that the cars "sticker price" is a retail price whereas AWP is a wholesale price representation. This is a bad analogy created and propagated by those with an incorrect understanding of the real economics involved. This analogy should be abandoned. --156Wiki (talk) 19:09, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't know how to edit the page properly, but after the acronym, the last sentence about AAWP isn't correct. AAWP is a proprietary benchmark published by Medi-Span (http://www.medispan.com/payers-pricerx.aspx), which is owned by Wolters Kluwer (http://www.medi-span.com/about-us.aspx).
I disagree with the previous user's comment about sticker price, since AWP is almost always used as a benchmark for US *retail* pricing, less applicable discounts. I don't know what would constitute a sufficient citation to demonstrate this though - expert testimony from one of the AWP class action lawsuits? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.230.162.220 (talk) 04:17, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
