Is this the official title?
[edit]I noticed that shortly after the second title was revealed, the titles of the next three films have supposedly been announced as well, but I can't find a source saying that those are the official titles. Is there a source that does? Red4Smash (talk) 23:22, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
- The titles for all 4 sequels were leaked/rumored a couple years ago and James Cameron said they were all legit, but that they werent offically the titles at the time. Only the Avatar 2 title is official as of now. -- Zoo (talk) 03:29, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- My apologies for jumping CreecregofLife (talk) 04:35, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
Please change the title of this page to Avatar: The Seed Bearer
[edit]Avatar 3 now has a Offical title 2603:9000:AD07:E100:ADC2:DF02:749E:C3F (talk) 21:01, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- Do you have a source confirming the title? InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:11, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- As of now, it's just a rumored title. -- Zoo (talk) 00:25, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Official title Part III
[edit]I couldn't find any reliable sources, you know like, Deadline Hollywood and Variety, that actually report news like this. Just sites like ScreenGeek and the sites that reposted it, Distractify, Koimoi that all say "leaked" and "rumored". As of this writting both Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 has been moved by User:MNWiki845. So much for a discussion about these sources... Mike Allen 19:43, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
- I've reverted both moves that were undiscussed, incorrect, unsourced, and contrary to the current consensus. These are not the final/confirmed titles. InfiniteNexus (talk) 20:00, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. To be honest, I wasn't sure if reverting would actully move the pages back or cause a mess. Good to know. The user never uses edit summaries nor replies to their talk page. Really not sure why they are here. Mike Allen 21:53, 28 December 2022 (UTC)

Cite Filip Geljo in the beginning of the article Icqnedit (talk) 22:25, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- It doesn't need to be. It's cited three times in the cast section. Mike Allen 23:05, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

Since we have no official title to the third Avatar movie, I suggest that we change the opening sentence from, "Avatar 3 is an upcoming American epic science fiction film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron." to this:
"Avatar 3 is the colloquial name for an upcoming American epic science fiction film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron." The Corvette ZR1 (talk) 12:37, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. M.Bitton (talk) 15:49, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- It is the temporary title officially used by Disney in press materials. InfiniteNexus (talk) 16:15, 14 March 2023 (UTC)

Change spelling of Naa'vi to Na'vi Beejumm (talk) 21:21, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello! When reviewing this, I couldn't seem to find anything that matched Naa'vi, so I'll go ahead and mark this one as answered. Please, let me know if I missed anything! Guessitsavis (talk) 22:04, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

Omaticaya is incorrectly spelt as Omatikaya. 2A00:23C5:581:F201:1465:D740:8B7B:3A89 (talk) 15:24, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
- I meant Omatikaya is incorrectly spelt as Omaticaya. Got them the wrong way around by accident. 2A00:23C5:581:F201:1465:D740:8B7B:3A89 (talk) 15:27, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

"Cameron stated that Avatar: The Seed Bearer is being considered as a possible title for the film, but Landau debunked the rumor in December 2023"
Jon Landau already debunked it in 2022:
"And while a few years ago several titles for the Avatar sequels reportedly leaked, which included the accurate title “The Way of Water,” Landau says not to expect Avatar 5, or any of the rest, to line up. “We have decided on titles, but I would not go by those other three titles that were out there,” he said. “You know, if you roll the dice one in six times, you’ll pick the right number.”"

“A few years ago”
[edit]In the header it says “A few years ago several titles for the Avatar sequels reportedly leaked,”
a few years ago?? When?? NoahTheAnimator (talk) 08:15, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- In 2018. I fixed that. It won't really be relevant eventually when the actual title is released. Rlendog (talk) 14:57, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
Jon Landau Passing
[edit]Just in unfortunately, Jon Landau has sadly Passed Away. Should we place a Note where he will receive a Posthumous Producer credit to the Film? Happiness is Simple (talk) 20:51, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
"The Seed Bearer"
[edit]We shouldn't delete history. This was the proposed working title of the film,[1] so should be stated somewhere in the article, even though they dropped it from consideration later. [2]; so it should be documented into the production history of the film -- 64.229.88.34 (talk) 07:48, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
