Merge proposal
[edit]A new article, Automotive platform sharing, has been created, and it seems a likely candidate for merger into this already-existing article, which is in need of expansion, anyway. Opinions welcome. Deor (talk) 22:08, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- As this is a student project, and Wikipedia is NOT a valid webhosting service, merge is the kindest fate we can give this. ThuranX (talk) 23:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed - if we can salvage anything from that article it should be merged here. Hut 8.5 06:45, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- I agree as well. It should be merged as soon as someone is available to do it.Mathman1550 (talk) 21:01, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agree — The material in the new Automotive platform sharing article is a subset of this existing article. — CZmarlin (talk) 00:22, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Support merger - this is better than most of the articles created as part of the student project, but I don't think it's worthy of its own page. Could be useful here though. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- Agree completely, even though the result is still only going to be a stub. 67.130.129.135 (talk) 00:51, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
```pls merge as both articles are related technically...```
- The material from Automotive platform sharing (tagged since February 2009) has been merged as per above consensus. CZmarlin (talk) 02:42, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
BLS, 9-3, Vectra
[edit]I think it would be intresting to swap either the BLS or the 9-3 for a picture of the FIAT Croma. Its on the same platform but is more different than these two (Which are more closely related than most of the cars on the platform. Just a thought.(90.211.169.128 (talk) 00:07, 10 March 2010 (UTC))
didn't the last generation "01-05" Malibu also use that platform? also they forgot the Oldsmobile Bravada in the problems area XD even though the GMT360 was almost done better then some rebadges. Dodge/Plymouth Neon anyone?
Honda needs a platform list section
[edit]I know this isn't the right sections but GM Ford VW Nissan etc have topics about their platforms but I don't think Honda has one. and I can't create one I don't know near enough about them to do so. plus not a registered member and what not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.235.89.234 (talk) 20:31, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
Automobile modular architecture
[edit]Should a separate page be created for Automobile modular architecture or should it just be a separate section under Automobile platform? Some examples would be Volvo Scalable Product Platform, Toyota New Global Architecture, Volkswagen Group MQB platform, and Volkswagen Group MLB platform Regards! - I would start with a section (with appropriate redirects), and split it out into a separate page if necessary later. OSX (talk • contributions) 07:33, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
why all these pictures
[edit]a lot of the pix in this article seem aimless. Why the Ford Ka? for example. The caption doesn't say these cars are on the same platform. tempted to zap them.
