Storage requirements for fingerprint sets
[edit]I think this article should mention how many kilobytes or megabytes it takes to store a set of fingerprints. It should also say how much this data can be compressed without loss. Neutrino1200 (talk) 13:33, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Neutrino1200: While this is certainly a valid suggestion, it doesn't really fit into the article as currently written. Before talking about the specifics of image sizes and compression, the article would need a general section on the technology behind AFIS, including matching techniques. Perhaps then a discussion of image sizes and compression would be appropriate. John E Bredehoft (talk) 21:17, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
Skepticism?
[edit]I'm seeing a lot of misinformation on the skepticism section. How should I deal with this? Do I straight up delete it? Or give the reasons here before doing so?
Not a single sentence in that section is true 176.171.218.42 (talk) 19:25, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
