Squads design
[edit]Why should not we design squads side by side Like SA in BAN in 2015, IND in BAN in 2015 or some other tours...? Srinu523 (talk) 05:07, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
- Actually @Srinu523:, I find this pattern better. When you put it all together, it becomes a big table with lot of names that one would skip while reading. If all agree i'd recommend to mention the squads seperately under each heading.srini (talk) 07:17, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
- @PeeJay2K3, Lugnuts, Blackhole78, Jhall1, and BlackJack: Can we help on this discussion. Srinu523 (talk) 16:54, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- Putting all the squads in separate sections would take up a lot of room in the article. You'd have to scroll past almost three screens' worth of content before reaching the next section (ignoring use of the TOC, that is). I think they should be side-by-side, with paragraphs above and/or below to explain how the squads were named and how they changed afterwards. – PeeJay 16:58, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- ^^^And this. Lots of whitespace to the right of the tables too. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:01, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

- I agree with Srinu523's point in the opening statement. Looking back at previous Australian tours to England, most of them have the one table setup (2013, 2012, 2009, etc). 2010 had no squads. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:01, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- I vote to keep all squads together in the same table so that space ends up not being wasted. Blackhole78 talk | contrib 02:45, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Srinu523: - I'd be bold and change the layout to one table. Worst case is that at least we can compare the two layouts for further comments. Or ask Michael Clarke to help out now he's not up to much. Ouch. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:49, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- How much time we will wait to change the design. Srinu523 (talk) 11:50, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- We have design the both ENG Vs AUS and IRE Vs AUS will be at starting, ie, Before the contents box. Srinu523 (talk) 09:40, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
May be we can design like 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier Squads. Srinu523 (talk) 09:44, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
squad box (Home/away)
[edit]I think the Home team will be the first and Away team will the followed by Home team. @Lugnuts, WhosAsking, PeeJay2K3, Joseph2302, and Harrias: May I know about your opinion. Srinu523 (talk) 14:56, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- I've never had a copy of Wisden, so I don't know where the custom came from, but when I first started editing Wikipedia's cricket articles, the touring team was always listed first in infoboxes and squad lists. I believe it's an act of courtesy towards the touring team. If this is a custom adopted from Wisden (or anywhere else), I suggest we stick to that. – PeeJay 15:26, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
