Other tidbits
[edit]These might be of interest, but I didn't think they added much to the main article:
- In March 1926, Thomas Sinton Hewitt, the theatres manager appeared in The Age newspaper after stopping a possible child abduction, after a man was seen acting suspiciously with a young girl near the Austral Theatre.source
- Later that year another man was caught "having behaved offensively" with a young girl in the theatre building. He denied the accusations but was later charged.source
- In 1929, Rober McLeish wrote to Collingwood's council to ask permission to open the Austral on Sunday evenings.Source --Jimmyjrg (talk) 23:51, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
