"Canadian", "Caribbean", "African Origin": all the above

[edit]

This is a complex point, and to some extent, depending on where the story stops. However, it would seem that as a Canadian who immigrated from Barbados and became a part of the Caribbean diaspora, and then further back in history as a part of the African diaspora, but also being a Canadian citizen and of Canadian nationality from 1981 to his time of death in 2016, that it may neither be accurate to describe this figure as strictly Barbadian nor strictly of African origin. My observation is that there is a bit more to this person's history and identity. And I think it may be worth considering the presentation of these facts. Many thanks for reading and considering this topic! KnowTheManyHistories (talk) 09:02, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
