New historical content

[edit]
  • Aussie Broadband will be listing on the ASX in 2020. This was leaked to the press. Pre-IPO funding of $25m was completed in 2019.

Page reorganisation

[edit]
  • Could add number of staff working for the company (approx 300+?), and customer count (163k+) in relevant sections
  • Add the company goal of "changing the telco game"
  • add the company values: Don't be ordinary, be awesome; Think BIG; No bullsh*t; Be good to people; Have fun
  • list services offered in a more consistent manner; possibly split into consumer vs enterprise offerings
  • the sections on MyAussie, AuBB enterprise can be moved out of the history section
  • the section on Congestion- very buzzword filled: needs to be more of "Congestion Policy" under some form of network category

Too much puffery

[edit]

A lot of what was added in the article 6 months ago has been removed. Some of it has been changed to be neutral, but the rest has too much puffery and platforming going on. The article needs to be encyclopedic. -- Tytrox (talk) 15:51, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fourth largest NBN provider claim

[edit]

I don't know where Australian Financial Review got their information from, but the ACCC's latest NBN Wholesale Market report shows Vocus as still being the 4th largest NBN provider, at least for TC-4 traffic. Unless Aussie has a massive leg up on TC-2 connections (most of TC-1 is voice apparently), I would be dubious of AFR's claim.

With that said, it's quite possible Aussie could overtake Vocus by next quarter in TC-4 connections, and if not, it's only a matter of a time I believe, so this claim if not true at the moment, will almost certainly become true in the future.
