Always Capitalized

[edit]

The AURYN is always capitalized. This is an extremely strict rule within the book, and amoung the Fantasticans as well. As unusual as it may be to someone who hasn't read the book, it should remains so in the article. You wouldn't spell A.I.D.S. as Aids, would you? Since the book is the first incarnation, I think it sets strong president over the films. Although I've seen a few scripts that do have the AURYN in caps as well.--Pyrzqxgl 12:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Major Changes

[edit]

I rewrote this article because it was a poor mess of the book and films. It's a little sloppy, but it looks better than what was there. I couldn't source anything exactly, but I've read the book twice, once in German. I put in some better, and more fitting vocabulary. For example, the snakes are indeed serpents, and mythological ones at that. I also sorted out all the bits into 4 categories, which kinda formed themselves. --Pyrzqxgl 12:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The AURYN in Stephen Spielberg's Office

[edit]

I saw Internet Movie Database with the same bit of trivia. It's pretty plausible, but I'd love better proof--Pyrzqxgl 12:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Character?

[edit]

This article has been put into TNS characters cat, yet I've got an impression that Auryn was non-sentient when I read the book. I'd say we move it back to the general TNS cat. --Koveras 11:33, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I take it, the lack of objection constitutes a common concent. :) --Koveras 15:00, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Auryn.png

[edit]

Image:Auryn.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:05, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New page for a Spanish band Auryn

[edit]

Please note all earlier discussions were about the fictional character in Never Ending Story. Eventually the article became a redirect to that page for a grerart while. The present article published starting 12 March 2013 is about a Spanish boy band, and the above discussion is not about the band.
