  • Just a general feeling, the lead seems quite large for this article, have you compared it with the requirements of WP:LEAD?
I trimmed it down a bit. Let me know if it works now.
  • "1978-1987" -> "1978–87"
 Done
  • Consider linking things like Scout (sport) for the non-expert reader.
 Done but let me know if there are other terms that need clarification.
  • "a 62-36 win-loss record" -> "a 62–36 win–loss record".
 Done
  • What is a "save" and what is "earned run average"?
Clarified.
  • "Aurelio Alejandro López Rios was born on" you only need to use his surname.
 Done
  • "In his youth, he enjoyed both soccer and baseball. López chose to pursue" -> "In his youth, López enjoyed both soccer and baseball but chose to pursue the latter..."
 Done
  • "he went 19–3" again, this is a little jargon, what does it mean to a non-expert like me?
 Done
  • " mid- to late 1970s" -> " mid- to late-1970s"
 Done
  • "in 1977-1978" ->"in 1977–78"
 Done
  • Check all other "records" use an en-dash, not a hyphen.
 Done as far as I can tell.
  • "López ran into shoulder problems" ran into is a little tabloid, perhaps "suffered from".
 Done
  • What is AAA?
Linked.
  • "López was driving a car..." ->" He was driving...
 Done
  • The Free Lance–Star uses an en-dash, not a hyphen.
 Done
  • Make sure accessdates have the same format for internal consistency.
 Done
  • Non-English references should use the lang=Spanish (for instance) parameter.
 Done
  • In the categories, it says he was a Springfield Redbirds player and an Evansville Triplets player. Neither teams appear to be mentioned in the article, is it incomplete?
I made a mental goof. The reference to Louisville should have been Springfield. It was even correct in the reference, but St. Louis's AAA affiliate was in Louisville when I was a kid and somehow that must have been on my mind. Evansville is mentioned (briefly, since it's also a minor league team) in the second paragraph under the MLB career section.

Placing this on hold until the above is resolved, mainly minor apart from the last point. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:29, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the time you put into this review! I think I have addressed these issues, but let me know if I need to do anything else. EricEnfermero Howdy! 12:08, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick reply. A couple of other things:
