[edit]Ok, I went from skeptic, to, well, still a skeptic but he will likely pass IF YOU SOURCE IT. I have done what I can to format it out to something similar to what we usually use at Wikipedia, including setup for the references. Now please get 3rd party sources. - we accept such sources as an official web page for routine facts about someones career that are not controverted. We also accept the publication of books by major academic presses as demonstration of notability according to WP:PROF., because it show the person to be an authority. Bu it is a very god idea to source awards and the like. If the sentence about his current work came from his web page, just source it accordingly. As for the books, get some references to the book reviews for them. That is usually effective. DGG (talk) 22:35, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- I put a big long explanation on my talk page with the editor. (it was a bit more complicated, some "accidental" sockpuppeting and such) and added some of them myself. This one was a bit frustrating at first, but I think the author has good intentions, just jumped into registering and writing a bit fast. You might look there and see if I flubbed up, but I think I covered all the issues pretty heavy. PHARMBOY (moo) (plop) 23:04, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- This will almost certainly pass AfD, though the obvious & necessary sources should be added The standard for deletion is "unreferenceable" not "unreferenced" DGG (talk) 02:59, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your comments DCG. I've tried add a few more external references, and I removed a citation I could not source. Please let me know if you think any further changes should be made. Dab06 (talk) 17:37, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
POV
[edit]This article has POV issues. It is written as if a promotional piece. Braun is most notable for his actions at Right & Democracy, an organization which was subject to his "hostile takeover" (words from Toronto Star) and dismantlement. There are several dozen newspaper articles about that issue. Other than that Braun's work is largely ignored. He is not widely cited in peer reviewed papers. Although because of his position at the University of Toronto and Rights & Democracy, he is from time to time interviewed by the media.
However this still does not explain why much of Braun's actions at Right and Democracy is missing from the article while the majority of his published work (which lacks notability) is listed in detail. I am going to address the issue. If anyone disagrees, feel free to revert/discuss for consensus. Poyani (talk) 21:30, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
