Clean-up needed

[edit]

The style is currently in need of an overhaul; I'll do it myself — the template was a reminder to me (though if someobne beats me to it I'll not complain). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:03, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Additional info

[edit]

I am one of the volunteers for Aura's House, so I thought I would add a bit more info about the projects. However, I'm trying not to make the entry too 'promotional,' rather just informing people of what the site has done so far. This is my first time editing on Wikipedia, so I'll try to fix the style as I become more familiar with the mark-up language. Zoemason 23:52, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone through the article introducing Wikipedia mark-up and re-organising a little. The only major change was the removal of details of the samll projects (partly because I was unsure of mentioning individuals and their donations in an encyclopædia, and partly because I assume that the list is likely [hoped] to grow considerably). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 08:38, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

Zoemason, thank you for your attention to the neutrality of the article. But it's getting very detailed and promotional. FreplySpang 20:03, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In particular, the use of the 1st person ("Our goal is to...") is unencyclopedic and implies that Wikipedia supports this charity. I tend to be draconian when I clean things up, so it might be better for someone else to take a pass first. FreplySpang 20:06, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I took all the non relevant dollar information and worked to reword the text so it is not as promotional. I feel the data is necessary to show the history of Aura's House. Like any other organization there are key dates for events and for Aura's House these are our key events and dates. If you have a page that you would suggest is similar and you would like us to follow I would be happy to adjust to a new format, however removal of the text I think is extreme.

Thanks and I look forward to your input. Mike, Aura's House Partner Mepler 22:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

new version of Aura's House

[edit]

In this Editing Talk we all seem to agree that the Aura's House page needed an overhaul. So I redid the Aura's House page yesterday. I feel that giving an overview of the company instead of listing past projects is a more informative format. In addition, I covered all aspects of the company, in a basic summery type style. For these reasons I believe that the page should stay the way that it is and not be reverted back to its previous version. If someone feels that I have missed something and would like to add to my work, for the betterment of the page please do but I ask that no one completely delete or revert the editing that I have done.
