What of that Scottish glass collective, the Ceramics association, Glass Studies editorial? And the exhibitions curated? 193.181.252.77 (talk) 13:11, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

    • I added alt1. She is also an expert on Albert Bender who gave a huge art collection to Dublin but they never had room to display it - Whitty created the first exhibition. Victuallers (talk) 10:31, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
      • Many thanks, the article is now leaner and fitter. On Bender, not just that but the subject literally wrote the book on the topic. I have seen that exhibition and it is very well done. I will compose an alt to reflect this aspect too. It would be really nice to progress this nom. during Womens History Month, so I will get on with my QPQ also. • Article: new enough upon nomination (created 3/8, nominated 3/15), is long enough, and the language is within policy.
Hook: I like the alt1 hook, but I wonder if there should be a comma between "Whitty" and "who", i.e.
Alt1a ...that Audrey Whitty, who created an exhibition about the thousands of Irish children who died in care, is now the director of the National Library of Ireland?
A comma is needed because the relative clause is not restrictive (see here: [1])
This hook's source: https://www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v43/n10/clair-wills/architectures-of-containment
Other: QPQ confirmed, no image
Conclusion:
Many thanks, and agreed re. that comma, so I have labelled that Alt1a, hope that's OK. I never did post a Bender alt, but OK, as, as a hook, all variations I tried required too many chars to explain. SeoR (talk) 22:52, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome, User:SeoR. I don't think a Bender alt matters that much for now. All the best! TheLonelyPather (talk) 03:22, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
