I am a new to editing information on Wikipedia. I am not sure if I properly referenced the new information I added to this profile (in the career section) as my References look different than those added before me. Please let me know if they are valid. Also, how do I "clean up" a page such as this one? Thank you. (Chelseablogger (talk) 16:41, 4 August 2014 (UTC))
- Using a citation template like {{cite web}} is preferred to using bare URLs as references. See WP:Referencing for beginners on how to easily create nicely-formatted footnotes without having to deal with the template code directly. I'll tidy up these references. Regarding the "cleanup", what's required is to make sure that the article neutrally summarizes what reliable sources report about the subject without unduly promoting or whitewashing her. I cleaned this page up by adding the DOB, deleting COI External Links and substituted them with neutral ones. I also added recent information via press releases in the career section. Now that the page complies with the neutrality policy, how does one get rid of this banner? "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view." (Chelseablogger (talk) 15:34, 8 August 2014 (UTC)) Thank you in advance.
- I have done some additional clean-up, removing name dropping and PR-speak, and removed the maintenance tag. -- Diannaa (talk) 16:31, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
It looks great! Thank you for your prompt response and assistance. (Chelseablogger (talk) 16:58, 8 August 2014 (UTC))
- Now we have a stable version we can build on moving forward. I will watch-list for a while and try to help if needed. -- Diannaa (talk) 23:02, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
Worth mentioning that for a so-called PR expert, she has made some disastrous choices! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.33.136 (talk) 09:46, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
