Auckland children bodies found in suitcases → Auckland suitcase murders – The current title is, well, clumsy. I've had a poke around what it's called in the media and there isn't much of a consensus visible. The suggested title has been used at times. There may be other potential names that would be an improvement, too. Hence I'll ask for wider input. I note that there were two suitcases involved, but the title uses the singular form as per the media reporting. - @Schwede66: There might be an issue with disambiguation - there was the 2006/7 suitcase murders, and I think there were earlier cases as well (although none of these have articles at this stage). --Prosperosity (talk) 00:58, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- I like to keep things as simple as possible. We don't appear to have any other articles that have "suitcase murders" in the title. There are certainly other suitcase murders with articles on Wikipedia. None of them are from Auckland. As such, the title as proposed should do. Once other Auckland cases get written up, we'll add a year for disambiguation. Schwede66 02:35, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- I agree with renaming the article "Auckland suitcase murders". Current name is a bit long and unwieldy. Andykatib (talk) 05:02, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- A problem with putting "murders" in the title is that we don't yet know if it was murder. It might have been manslaughter. They might have died by accident and the recently widowed mother might have been unable to cope mentally. A title like Deaths of Yuna and Minu Jo would be straightforward, although I'm not sure the names have been very prominent in reporting – but there's an idea anyway. Nurg (talk) 08:46, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- Good points, Nurg. Schwede66 09:02, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- Good point, @Nurg:. That would be in line with similar articles such as Murders of the Dickason children or the Cris and Cru Kahui homicides. Will be good to name such articles after the victims. Andykatib (talk) 09:20, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- Deaths of Yuna and Minu Jo would certainly be in line with most other articles on similar topics. It also follows WP:DEATHS, which recommends not using “murder” without a conviction—which would be an easy move later. — HTGS (talk) 04:06, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

- Support Deaths of Yuna and Minu Jo until the court reaches a verdict. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:36, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- I support this as well. We can wait until sources report on the verdict, and then possibly name it to "Murder of Minu and Yuan Jo". Cortador (talk) 13:05, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: extending until at least after the closure of the running AfD. – robertsky (talk) 02:49, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support - Most notorious crime cases are titled based on newspaper headline mentions. I expect that 'suitcase murders' will be where this settles even after the case is closed. Cheers, Last1in (talk) 15:20, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support Deaths of Yuna and Minu Jo - most accurate at this point, least hyberbolic. Regards, --Goldsztajn (talk) 23:30, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support as nominator My main objective was to stimulate discussion regarding a better title and Deaths of Yuna and Minu Jo is favoured by most editors who have commented here, and I agree that's better than my original suggestion.
