i dont think the paragraph "Each connected entity..." belongs to this entry at all, it's silly. first it hardly applies to APE since LINX, AMSIX by far exceed the number of peers and are still feasible. (i've personally designed and built peering network of well over a thousand BGP peers at about 10 exits points; with over 500 unique AS numbers and did not find it problematic at all). so i took it off.
