Related ants in Southern Mexico
[edit]There is a similar harvesting of winged edible ants around the end of April and June in Chiapas, Mexico, perhaps Guatemala too? Perhaps it is the same ant? Cuvtixo 03:13, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Although I can't answer I know there are other Atta species in the regions you mentionned, maybe it's simply a different species.Pro bug catcher (talk • contribs). 00:55, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Inconsistent re: range
[edit]The first paragraph says "from Venezuela south to Paraguay", but goes on to give the common names used for it as far north as Mexico. I was seeking info about those found here in El Salvador, well to the north of Venezuela. Lisapaloma (talk) 16:03, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
