What other improvements?

[edit]

I've made a number of improvements and additions to the page, do we know of anything else we can add so that the submission isn't denied again? Silverdashmax (talk) 20:03, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The draft article suffers from a lack of reliable, independent, secondary sources that cover the subject in depth. These sources are required to satisfy the notability standard of WP:BIO. If those specific sources do not exist, then it's likely that this subject is not notable under the guidelines of Wikipedia, like most of his streamer peers. Wikitubia Article

[edit]

So, I've recently re-written Atrioc's Wikitubia page, and I just want to make sure that we can't bring any of it over because it relies on his streams, which are "UnReLiAbLe sOuRcEs" OR put a disclaimer up which displays that Brandon's Wikitubia page is much better because of Wikipedia's rule #3.56 × 109, subsection #1559. Yes I have been burned by Wikipedia before, how can you tell? The Mining Pickaxe (talk) 15:28, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources are allowed for simple basic facts as per WP:PRIMARY. Wikitubia/fandom itself is not allowed to be used as a source since it 100% user generated, in the same manner Wikipedia is not allowed to be used as a source. So the same issue will probably persist that the primary source for that are his streams and shouldn't be used to support much of anything except very basic facts. The article over on Fandom is mostly the writer providing their own analysis of his motives and actions, this is not something we do here, we only record in our own words what others have said in reliable published sources known for fact checking. So I would say not much if anything could come over if it does not have a source to support which meets the requirements of WP:OR, WP:RS or WP:PRIMARY McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 17:08, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Does the stuff I wrote in the article count as "very basic facts"? You kind of made it seem like it might be fine. I wrote nothing in the article that I didn't prove with a citation (a sentence or more out of one of his streams) right after. The article is purely everything he has told about himself, organized and compressed. Also, the Wiki itself wouldn't be used as a source, I was thinking I could copy the relevant stuff over, barring the 10 quadrillion rules of Wikipedia that probably don't allow something like this of course.
