the picture of the "atlas beetle"

[edit]

the image of the beetle on the article is of the wrong species. the beetle is actually a caucasus beetle, which you can tell because of the thorn on the face horn of the beetle. i made an account to edit it, however i dont know how to remove/change the image on mobile TheRhinoBeetleGuy (talk) 10:03, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Given the large number of images online of both species, there appear to be a fair number of images of C. atlas that have a "thorn" on the facial horn, similar to C. chiron. Unless you know other distinctive features, or have a published source that establishes that atlas never has a thorn, I'm not sure it's fair to say it's the wrong species. However, I can select a different image to use for the page, given how many are available to choose from. Dyanega (talk) 23:51, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

sorry for not finding a source from his info, but beetle information is difficult to track sometimes. TheRhinoBeetleGuy (talk) 01:12, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
