Daylight saving time change
I want to know if ADT change at the same time as eastern time does or is it both at 1h59m59 local time so one is before the other one.
Thank you.
Chile?
It seems odd that Chile would use Atlantic Time when they're both on the Pacific Ocean. Just thought i'd mention that. If I see any anecdotes around about that, i'll reference it to this article. I does seem odd but it is what it is. Just Heditor review 17:33, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Only the name "Atlantic Time" is odd; UTC-4 is the geographically correct time zone. The nation has three neighbors: Argentina (UTC-3), Bolivia (UTC-4), and Peru (UTC-5). Most of the border is alongside Argentina, and being two hours off from their time would be awkward (Time in Argentina is also supposed to be UTC-4 but chose to go on permanant Daylight Savings). This reponse was researched within WikiPedia only. -- Adam Katz 19:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a reliable source :-) Chile appears to use CLT (Chile Time).[1] I will remove it from this list. --Scott Davis Talk 23:29, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Unoffical sentence unsourced
"however, the southeastern tip of that region unofficially uses Newfoundland Standard Time, the time used on the island of Newfoundland." I've cut this since it doesnot have a source, and is not offical anyway. Jon 14:35, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
List of Cities
If the image is correct, it would seem that Venezuala is among cities in the AST / UTC-4 zone. If so, surely Caracas, if not other Venezuelan cities, should be there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.131.175.146 (talk) 02:24, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Bermuda is also in the Atlantic Time Zone. Why is this not mentioned?Liveswithanevilb (talk) 02:29, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Daylight savings
Article should make it clear which parts of Canada do and don't observe daylight savings time. I know we're trying to be non-North-America centric here, out of respect for the rest of the world which keeps the same time year-round, but we mustn't imply that we don't do something - silly or not - which we do. --Uncle Ed (talk) 13:27, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Eastern Caribbean Time Zone
Eastern Caribbean Time Zone redirects here but is not explained in the article. -- Beland (talk) 04:49, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- Probably better to make that observation on the ECTZ page so the link can be corrected. Ghost writer's cat (talk) 20:50, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
