Layout for this article
[edit]Let's use the layout from 2006 European Athletics Championships. A nice table which includes the dates. Punkmorten 08:10, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, although I wonder whether it's possible to have this lay-out improved or not. As you can see the width of the columns varies everytime you add a new table. Resulting in different widths between gold/silver/bronze, but also between men and women (and yet again in gold/silver/bronze). That doesn't really look good in my opinion. Do you know how to solve that problem? SportsAddicted | discuss 11:26, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately not. Maybe you can ask at Help talk:Table. Punkmorten 11:38, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Done, let's see what they have to say about it. SportsAddicted | discuss 12:04, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- i used rankedmedal table for the boxing article. the width for all medal categories are the same. for the medal count summary, use Medalist table-it shows the event or division and all medal columns are of the same width.RebSkii 20:03, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Oh I'm sorry, I was actually talking about the awarded medals to athletes per discipline. I agree though that the medal tally you added is better compared the one that was there in the first place. SportsAddicted | discuss 22:32, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- the medalist table is useful for awarded medals to athletes per discipline. for tables with variable number of columns, use wikitable and set the width of the columns to your preferred size. hope this helps.RebSkii 06:51, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- There is already a Template:Sports result table. Punkmorten 09:35, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
