The result of the move request was: Moved. Consensus is found to move the article per the strong argument that English language sources primarily use Roman characters (without the macron). — Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 02:04, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
Asuka Kudō → Asuka Kudo – His name is written in Roman characters as "Asuka Kudo", without a macron, on his own Instagram account, the official Japanese Film Database, US distributor Funimation's page for Sing a Bit of Harmony, and on the English websites of Nippon TV and TV Asahi. 2A00:23C7:5485:2C00:752C:8358:EAC0:AF21 (talk) 18:34, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose no benefit to readers, Japanese macrons are helpful to readers who don't read hiragana to know the this surname is K'doh くどう not Kuh-do In ictu oculi (talk) 22:44, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Japan-related articles#Romanization states that official and predominantly romanisations should be used over standard ones when they exist for article titles. The modified Hepburn romanisation can and should be given in the Nihongo template at the start of the article to give more accurate information on the pronounciation.
- Support English language sources appear to overwhelmingly use his name without the macron. Coupled with the fact that he himself does not appear to use the diacritic for his own content like social media channels, this appears to be the common name and correct one per our title guidelines.--Yaksar (let's chat) 00:48, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

- Support – WP:UE encourages us to defer to English-language sources on these sorts of questions, and a Google News search suggests that the non-macron version predominates. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:24, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
