Split Earth's nutation
[edit]there's much overlap between Nutation#Earth and Astronomical nutation#Earth; I propose splitting both sections into a common centralized Earth's nutation article. fgnievinski (talk) 04:10, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- I agree. Parham wiki (talk) 21:06, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
I agree. In any case, Earth's nutation is an important phenomenon, influencing among other things the measurement of time and position on the earth's surface, and as such deserves its own page. Rather than a purely physical explanation, practical issues such as come to bear in surveying and astronomy (for example) can be explained there. Tombijin (talk) 11:29, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
I agree that there should be two articles: one on Nutation generally and one on Earth's nutation. I am neutral on whether there should remain a short section on Earth in the Nutation article.Dan88888 (talk) 13:17, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- I agree that the information in the two articles should be consolidated. But it should still be (briefly) covered here per WP:SUMMARY. Praemonitus (talk) 16:45, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
