C.H.A.O.S.
[edit]Need a source for the C.H.A.O.S. strike bit, which has been there since the article was started.... Tim Pierce 18:23, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- Here are a few sources:
- http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2005/08/18_tonessb_chaos/
- I'm actually thinking that CHAOS deserves its own article... any opinions? f(x)=ax2+bx+c 07:30, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- I actually searched for CHAOS expecting it to have its own article. So I'm in favor of it having its own article as well.. —Cliffb 22:52, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
I think there is enough information available to justify a separate CHAOS™ article, with its history at Alaska Airlines, prior threats at UA and other AFA carriers, plus developing situation at NWA.
I added a link to Chaos(disambiguation) with a brief definition. Not sure how to start a stub tho.
Loyd 22:13, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm formally proposing the split off of Chaos. Any discussion? —Cliffb 08:10, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Merge proposal
[edit]I'm not in favour of merging this with Association of Flight Attendants (UK) for two reasons. First, I think each organization has its own political history, and given time the articles will grow. Secondly, from a practical prospective, I think even with a merge the general tendency is for people who are interested/members of a particular local to eventually create an article on it - so I'm of the opinion that we might as well leave them in the first place.--Bookandcoffee 14:02, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- What is the norm for the Labor articles on Wikipedia? I come more from the airline area of wikipedia, so I'm not sure. —Cliffb 05:13, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- The suggested article proposal CHAOS cannot be made because that is already a disambig page. Eric Wester 16:42, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
LOCALS
[edit]I think we need to replace the Locals section with an overview of structure. With 20 airlines having their own Master Executive Council and each MEC having multiple Locals, i think this will just get confusing and cluttered. There are only 2 large airlines mentioned and look at the length already. Alaska, US Airways and American Eagle have not even been added, nor the smaller carriers. Any ideas? Loyd 22:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Probably the list of locals needs to be split into its own article.. The overview would be helpful for the whole article. —Cliffb 22:15, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Capitalization
[edit]Please note that the phrase "flight attendant(s)" by itself is not a proper noun. Therefore, it should not be capitalized as "Flight Attendant" unless it is being used as part of a larger proper name, e.g. "Association of Flight Attendants". —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:29, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
