Contested deletion
[edit]I received a notification about a speedy deletion nomination. I believe this article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because every other United States Assistant Secretary of State has a Wikipedia article. Although it is indeed a stub, that can be mostly attributed to the fact that the position is a fairly new one (the bureau having been established back in 2011). It seemed to make sense to me to create an article for it, even if there have only been at least 2 people who have served in the post thus far.
I look forward to hearing feedback on this matter. Thanks, --GabeIglesia (talk) 03:43, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
