Flags with country names
[edit]Justlettersandnumbers (following up on the discussion on User talk:Justlettersandnumbers) I see, thanks for the reply. However I disagree, having flags next to country names in tables like these help with the readability. Most of the Wikipedia articles that contain table of countries are formatted with the flags of the countries. See a few examples List of European countries by population, List of sovereign states, List of countries by age structure, United Nations, 2016 Summer Olympics, Urbanization by country, or any of the article in here Lists of countries and territories as examples among others. As for your other questions, I don't have any connection to the AFE, I am a French citizen living abroad and I have been researching on the AFE after the last elections, the page was outdated so I updated with the latest information. As for the rest of the concerns (notability and sources) I am addressing them as well. I am happy to move the discussion to the talk page of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Viepubliquefrance (talk • contribs) 23:00, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, Viepubliquefrance. Please sign your posts using ~~~~. As I said before, I disagree. Our guidance on this is at MOS:WORDPRECEDENCE and MOS:OVERLINK. For me, the silly little coloured flags actively interfere with reading the text. Anyway, the article has many more serious problems than this – notability and sourcing in particular, but also WP:WEIGHT – do we actually need a list of ninety countries in this page, with or without flags?
