Awaiting confirmation of death

Several sites are reporing the ambassador died but I haven't seen any reliable confirmation. [1] reports that RIA reports his death but also that they cannot get confirmation. -84user (talk) 17:22, 19 December 2016 (UTC) EDIT to add more examples of conflicting reports, from Reuters: Russian ambassador gunned down in Ankara, Russian agency says killed and Russia confirms its ambassador to Turkey shot and hospitalized: agencies. -84user (talk) 17:26, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Please note I copied this from the original article's talk page. I understand this is a fast moving news item, but could editors please make sure they pay attention to details such as verification of claims in the cited sources, and take care when moving pages to also move the associated talk page. -84user (talk) 17:33, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Unfortunately he's dead Apzona (talk) 17:39, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

This should be merged with the article of Andrei Karlov

I don't see any reason to have two articles about the same person. There isn't yet enough information to determine if the assasination deserves an independent article.--Bolter21 (talk to me) 18:34, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Give either merge a minute. we may get more info in the next 24 hours.(mercurywoodrose)50.193.19.66 (talk) 18:36, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Yes but. I do not believe that the Lord Andrei Karlov would have said something in case one of us (Wikipedia User's) was targeted.81.243.94.12 (talk) 12:24, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
