Talk:Asian Hispanic
Problems with this page
[edit]I have taken issue how this page was written. This page lacks references. Not only that, but this page just looks like it is a copy of the White Hispanic page, except the word "White" was changed to "Asian". And lastly, I removed a statement that was borderline racist claiming Asian Hispanics don't know Spanish. The person who wrote that statement seem that they don't know the history of Asian Immigration to Latin America. Asians began to immigrate to Latin America around the late 1800s. Most Latin American Asians came in between the late 1880s to 1950s. The immigrant generation are least likely to immigrate to the United States, but the children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren are most likely to immigrate to the US and these generations are fluent in Spanish and accustomed to the culture of the Latin American nation that the immigrant forefathers settle to. This page needs to be fixed. The Asian Latin American page is well better written than this page. Lehoiberri (talk) 18:40, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
